Lehigh to Convert Storage Facility into Apartments
Charles Jefferson, the founding principal of Jefferson-Werner, said the project should be completed and ready for residents to move in by August 2018. The building will have an outdoor courtyard and might have a cafe in the retail space. Jefferson-Werner has spoken with many vendors, but plans are not finalized yet. These apartments will not be affiliated with Lehigh housing, so anyone can move into the apartments.

Demolition Work Underway at Former Samter’s Building
Renovations have begun at the former Samter building at the corner of Lackawanna and Penn Avenues. The building which is directly across from the Marketplace at Steamtown has been empty for several years. It will soon become dozens of apartments in what has become an increasing trend in the Electric City.

Lehigh University to get in on South Bethlehem Boom with Apartments
Lehigh has selected developer Jefferson-Werner, LLC, to convert the building into apartments. Tuesday night Bethlehem City Council was scheduled to vote to issue a certificate of appropriateness for the work. Construction is slated to start in October with the first tenants moving into units in August 2018.
