A pair of developers who established thriving apartment buildings in Scranton are turning their attention to hotels.
Charles Jefferson, whose downtown portfolio includes the Connell Building on North Washington Avenue and 200 Adams — the former Stoehr & Fister Furniture Co. building — on Adams Avenue, now hopes to break ground on a nine-story, 152-room hotel and conference center on Montage Mountain in the spring of 2025. Ideally, he would like to begin site preparation sometime between mid-summer and September.
